Reviewer Comments:This is the first in a new series about Dante Valentine, necromance-for-hire. As the title suggests, Dante is hired by the Devil...to kill a demon and bring back the Egg. Dante wants to refuse but after she learns who the demon is, she agrees so she can try to get justice for a friend.

Reviewer Comments: Book one in the Dane Valentine series. This novel is dark, urban fantasy and almost too dark and evil for my taste. The world in which necromancer, Dante Valentine works is a gritty, evil mirror of our world gone cyberpunk. Still, the characters in this story are well developed and although I would not like them to be my friends, I look forward to reading future stories about them. I only recommend this novel for those who are familiar with dark urban horror and would like to follow the tales of one who beat the devil at his games.
